5 Trips to take with your BFF’s this Summer
Happy Thursday, bohemian babes! Summer is right around the corner and that means warmer weather, more to do and, of course, traveling. Truly, there’s nothing more American than hitting the open road. So, we decided to share a list of some epic wanderlust-packed adventures to go on your besties! Though hopping on a plane to tour Europe is always tempting, exploring the beauty within our own backyard is just as beautiful. With that being said, we hand-picked 5 must-do trips throughout the U.S. hope you get inspired from our list & start planning with your girls! Xo
1). The Grand Canyon Waterfalls, Arizona
This monumental beauty is at the top of our list. The Grand Canyon is carved out by the Colorado River and located in Arizona. Most people make the trip simple to soak in the absolute splendor that is the Canyon, but did you know that this national park is also packed full of glorious hiking trails, white-water-rafting and some pretty amazing waterfalls? Pictured below is Havasu Falls, which is one of the top three to visit while you’re there as well as Mooney Falls & Najao Falls. It’s a bit of a hike, but so worth it. If you decide to take this trip out West, you’ll be getting in touch with Mother Nature on a whole new level.
2). The Road to Hana, Maui, Hawaii
Are you craving lush tropical flowers, secret beaches and views of the ocean that will take your breath away? Then you might want to check out the Hana Highway, in Maui. Which is more commonly known as “The Road to Hana.” This gorgeous drive spans across roughly 51 miles of Maui. On the 2 and half hour drive you’ll pass lots of exotic wildlife, lush fruit trees, and there are a few tiny local stops to pick up some coconut chips and banana bread. A couple of the highlights include: black-sand beaches, lava cliffs, bamboo forests and sea caves.
3). Wine Country, Napa Valley, California.
With over 400 wineries, this viticultural region is every wine-lover’s paradise. Napa County is located north of San Pablo Bay in the Northern portion of California. Not only is this agricultural area gorgeous, there’s so much to do. Stay at a quaint bed and breakfast, treat yourself to fine dinning in the area, or take a tour lush vineyards. This unique region is truly special and is not to be missed!
4). The Florida Keys
Hot sun, gorgeous beaches and an endless amount of things to do, the Florida Keys are just waiting to be explored! The famous Route 1 will take you on a the perfect road-trip from Miami to Key West with plenty to do along the way. From white sand beaches, to baby islands, coastal restaurants, groovy museums and endless shopping, you’ll never be bored on this exotic drive!
5). Big Sur, California.
California Highway 1 will take you on one of the most septic routes in the U.S. Beware, this drive is beautiful but filled with narrow roads, twist and turns. You’ll enjoy gorgeous views of the coast, steep sea cliffs, dense forests, tiny little Spanish towns and the ever so lovely Hearst Castle along the way. It’s one of those trips you need to take at least once in your life.
