Festive 4th of July Fruit Kabobs
Happy 4th of July!!! Today we bring you delicious and colorful 4th of July fruit kabobs. These sweet treats create the perfect side dish for any festive BBQ celebrating America’s birthday. There’s an endless combination of color-coordinated fruit, desserts, and sweets you can use for these. Of course, we are making them with fruit, but feel free to make them as sweet, or even savory as you would like with other ingredients. If you want to make them more of a dessert than an appetizer, add small chunks of cheesecake, rice crispies, or marshmallows for an extra kick! There’s no wrong answer here! Have fun and get creative. Let’s begin, shall we?
1 pack of fresh, organic blueberries
Kabob wooden sticks
Star cookie cutter
Optional: 1/2 an inch cheesecake chunks, rice crispies, or marshmallows for an extra touch if desired
Pre-wash all of your fresh fruit. Slice the watermelon into thin, 1-inch pieces and begin cutting out the stars with the cookie cutter. Once you have gotten a number of watermelon stars cut out, you can start skewering them into the sticks. Then proceed to add the blueberries, (If you do decide to add an extra ingredient, such as marshmallows, just alternate between the blueberries) around 7, or 8 is a good number. And voila! you’re all set. Make sure to keep them in the fridge until you are ready to serve to keep the fruit firm. Happy 4th babes!!! Xo
